The Department of Transportation (DOTr) turned over ₱8 million in livelihood assistance to the provincial government of Bulacan for residents affected by the ongoing North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project. DOTr Assistant Secretary for Right of Way and Site Acquisition IC Calaguas represented Secretary Vince Dizon during the ceremonial turnover.

Calaguas thanked Governor Daniel Fernando and Vice Governor Alex Castro for their continued support, emphasizing the vital role of LGUs in ensuring the smooth implementation of the NSCR project.

Bulacan will host seven stations of the NSCR: Calumpit, Malolos, Guiguinto, Balagtas, Bocaue, Marilao, and Meycauayan. The project, ordered for accelerated construction by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. through Secretary Dizon, is a major step toward improved mass transit and regional connectivity.
