Department of Transportation (DOTr) Assistant Secretary for Right of Way and Site Acquisition (ROWSA) IC Calaguas led an inspection of the old PNR Bridge in Barangay Balibago, where a replacement footbridge is nearing completion.

The construction of the new footbridge was requested by then-Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., now the Representative of Pampanga’s First District. Once completed, the old PNR Bridge will be demolished, according to the DOTr.

The inspection team included DOTr personnel led by Project Development Officer III Rowell Nava.

DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon recently praised ROWSA’s progress, particularly in support of the North-South Commuter Railway Project. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has earlier directed Dizon to expedite the project’s completion as part of the administration’s infrastructure push.
