DOT-III, SM Clark promote barrier-free tourism

Department of Tourism-Region III partnered with SM City Clark and staged the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training for its stakeholders on April 5 and 12, 2024.

Recognizing the vital role of shopping centers in the tourism industry, DOT-Accredited trainer Romano del Rosario extended the training to mall employees, tenants, security guards, and housekeeping personnel.

DOT-III Regional Director Richard G. Daenos stressed the department’s commitment to promoting barrier-free tourism, highlighting the participation of two visually-impaired employees of JTE Health Massage — Rico D. Damayan and Elaine Joy C. Liwanag.
Department of Tourism-Region 3 thanked NU Clark Executive Director Dr. Arnel Diego and SM City Clark Mall Manager Jerwin Jalandoni for their support in the implementation of the program.

The FBSE training does not only showcase DOT-III’s intensive effort to ensure a standardized Filipino brand across all tourism touch points but also solidifies its aim for a more inclusive and accessible tourism for all.
