DOT-III honors outstanding stakeholders at TRES Awards 2023

Department of Tourism Region III honored outstanding stakeholders as it hosted the prestigious Tourism Recognition for Enterprises and Stakeholders (TRES) Awards at The Hilltop Garden Mimosa Filinvest+, Clark Freeport Zone on January 9, 2023.

A total of 36 awards across eight categories were given away to outstanding finalists who excelled in the rigorous selection process, involving the evaluation of submitted requirements and panel interviews, surpassing their co-applicants in the industry.

Special recognitions were accorded to winners without runners-up (refer to the attached list of awards and winners for details).

DOT Region 3 Regional Director Richard G. Daenos stressed that the recognition is a great way to give back to the DOT-III’s stakeholders.

“The DOT-III doesn’t undermine the efforts of our industry partners, quite the opposite, we shine a spotlight to their outstanding contributions to the tourism sector for the past year through this award- giving event,” Daenos said.

The DOT-III’s Tourism Development Division and Tourism Regulations Division took on the rigorous task of narrowing down the list of the 2023 TRES Awards.

This involved identifying relevant awards and special recognitions, refining criteria and requirements, and appointing a distinguished panel of tourism experts to conduct interviews and determine deserving winners.

Apart from recognizing efforts, the TRES Awards is aimed at inspiring and challenging its stakeholders to remain committed, driven, and empowered to enhance and elevate the over-all tourism experience in the region through their significant contributions.

Here is a complete list of the TRES Awards winners:
