The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) began the construction of a building for the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) stationed at the Port of Limay in Bataan. The P14.5-million project, which was funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act, is in barangay Lamao.
DPWH Bataan 2nd Assistant District Engineer Armando Pamonag said the one-storey multipurpose building has a total floor area of 228.6 square meters.
“It aims to provide office space and quarters for the staff of PCG. The scope of work includes foundation to roofing and electrical installations,” he added.
Officials present during the groundbreaking ceremony include Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva and Governor Jose Enrique Garcia III.
The infrastructure is scheduled to be completed by November this year. (PIA 3)
