The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has released its 2024 Noche Buena Price Guide to help Filipino families make informed choices for the holiday season.
The guide includes prices for 236 products from 22 manufacturers across 12 categories, including ham, queso de bola, fruit cocktail, cheese, sandwich spread, all-purpose cream, mayonnaise, pasta noodles, elbow and salad macaroni, tomato sauce, and spaghetti sauce.
DTI Secretary Cristina A. Roque emphasized the agency’s commitment to consumer welfare, stating, “This guide empowers families to compare prices and choose products that fit their budget and preferences.”

The DTI noted that prices for 121 items, including holiday staples like certain brands of ham, fruit cocktail, queso de bola, sandwich spread, cheese, spaghetti sauce, and all-purpose cream, have remained the same as in 2023. Thirteen items, including select brands of mayonnaise, pasta, elbow macaroni, salad macaroni, and all-purpose cream, have even seen price reductions.
To make the guide more user-friendly, products with unchanged prices are marked with a star, while those with price drops feature a Christmas tree symbol.

The DTI advises consumers to check expiration dates and consider bulk purchases for potential savings. Additional promotions and discounts may also be available at supermarkets.

The guide will remain effective until December 31, ensuring affordable options through Media Noche. The DTI will monitor prices nationwide and encourages consumers to report overpricing by calling the 1-DTI hotline (1-384) or emailing consumercare@dti.gov.ph.
