Eco Protect Management Corporation (EPMC) has stepped up to address the challenges brought by the closure of the Kalangitan landfill in Capas, Tarlac, positioning itself as the leading sustainable waste management alternative in the region with its engineered Category 4 landfill facility in Porac, Pampanga.

EPMC’s facility has attracted new clients from private corporations and local government units across Pampanga and nearby provinces like Bulacan, who have found it a reliable destination for their residual waste. This influx underscores EPMC’s growing role in regional waste management and environmental protection.

In a recent recognition, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 3 awarded EPMC a Certificate of Appreciation for its contributions during the Forum on Innovative Interventions for Local Government Units. The forum, in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Region 3, spotlighted EPMC’s dedication to advancing solid waste management practices.

In addition to landfill services, EPMC is exploring waste-to-energy solutions and other renewable energy projects to preserve the environment. Their corporate social responsibility initiatives also include upcycling single-use plastic sachets into durable armchairs, which will be donated to financially constrained schools in collaboration with local government partners.
