A gecko caused a sudden power interruption in parts of Iba, Zambales on Thursday, May 29, according to the Zambales I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ZAMECO I).

In a Facebook post, ZAMECO I said the outage occurred after a gecko came into contact with one of their power lines, resulting in a temporary loss of electricity in areas from Sitio Tambak to Sitio Banag in Barangay Palanginan.

Power has since been fully restored in the affected areas, the cooperative confirmed.
