𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐬 𝟑𝟐 𝐌𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 a𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐋𝐑𝐀𝐀 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑

Taking pride in their success in the recently concluded Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) Meet 2023, Mayor Crisostomo Garbo has awarded and recognized the 32 young Mabalaquenian athletes for their outstanding performance in the said competition.

The CLRAA Meet 2023 was held in various venues in region 3 last April 24-28, 2023. A total of 20 delegations from different parts of Central Luzon participated in the said event. Despite the tough competition, the young Mabalaquenian athletes have proven their skills and talents in various sports events.

Mayor Crisostomo Garbo expressed his appreciation and admiration for the young athletes. He believes that their success in the CLRAA Meet 2023 is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Mayor Garbo also acknowledged the efforts of the coaches and trainers who have helped in honing the skills of the young athletes.

The 32 young Mabalaquenian athletes who were given recognition were Princess Rhianna J. Manzon, Emma T. Bolden, Gabrielle O. Nuqui, Christian Erickson O. Costuna, FJ Catherine T. Cruz, Shan Kervie A. Medina, Venice Ashley S. Tamba, Xyzah Czarlotte I. Lagman, Laurice Amber S. Tangcay, Rhyianna Mae C. Saingan, Marian Ashley V. Dizon, Jacob Dwayne D. Mangandi, Daniel Oliver T. Diana, Colbie Kzion G. Diangson, Kalanat Czar G. Diangson, Seb Rafael R. Santos, Ivan Dashielle C. Dungca, Nathan M. Dueñas, Dustin Keby Dizon, Alexis Kate C. Aguado, Martina D. Lising, Princess R. Ypol, Kathlyn Sophia V. David, Ethan Gabrielle Garcia, Diane D. Fajardo, Claries Jade A. Sibal, Adeline Samia, Mary France Joy M. Sarrato, Kyle Tommy Maniago, Wyn Fia S. Mendoza, Carlyle Josh Tumaque, and Jhayro C. Danganan.

These young athletes competed in different sports events such as chess, swimming, table tennis, badminton, and arnis. They have brought home a total of 17 gold medals, 18 silver medals, and 12 bronze medals. Their impressive performance has earned them the admiration and respect of their fellow Mabalaquenians.

Mayor Cris Garbo hopes that the success of these young athletes will inspire other Mabalaquenian youths to pursue their passion for sports.

“To our current and aspiring athletes, let me assure you that the city government will continue to support and provide opportunities for the development of sports in Mabalacat,” Garbo said.

MCG also announced that he will award Php3,000 each to gold medalists, Php2,000 to silver medalists, and Php1,000 to bronze medalists. In addition, Garbo made it known that the entire Mabalacat Team will receive Php50,000 in recognition for their overall performance.

After being recognized, the young winners expressed their gratitude to Mayor Garbo and the local government unit for the unending support to the athletes.

The awarding ceremony for the 32 young Mabalaquenian athletes was held on May 8, 2023, at the Mabalacat City Hall. The ceremony was attended by the athletes, their families, coaches, trainers, and other city government officials after the flag-raising ceremony. It was a momentous occasion for the young athletes and a proud moment for the city of Mabalacat.
