Globe has ramped up its relief and recovery efforts in the aftermath of Typhoon Emong, delivering critical support to affected communities across Northern Luzon.
As of July 28, 127 out of 135 affected municipalities have had their network services fully restored. Restoration work is ongoing in areas including Benguet, La Union, Mountain Province, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Pangasinan.
To support displaced residents, Globe deployed Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging (LTLC) stations in heavily impacted areas such as Antipolo, Taytay, Quezon City (Bagong Silangan, Tatalon, Holy Spirit, Fairview), Valenzuela, Tanza, Imus City, and Gerona. These services helped families stay connected and informed during critical recovery hours.
In partnership with Rise Against Hunger, Brigadang Ayala, and the Ayala Foundation, Globe has provided essential relief packs to 1,742 families, reaffirming its commitment to holistic disaster response that extends beyond connectivity.
“We continue to extend help on all fronts, from reconnecting communities to providing much-needed relief,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer. “In every effort, big or small, we remain committed to showing up for Filipinos with urgency, empathy, and care.”
Globe’s initiatives fall under its unified disaster resilience framework, emphasizing proactive restoration, immediate aid, and collaboration with government and civic partners.
