Shincheonji volunteers expand outreach across the Philippines

Shincheonji Volunteers continue to broaden their community outreach, supporting families in need while promoting volunteerism and environmental stewardship across the country.

In Barangay Nagpayong, Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City, the group held the “Kain Na! Tara Na! Community Pantry and Feeding Program,” bringing together nearly 100 participants, including 78 beneficiaries—adults and children—and 29 volunteers. Families received fresh vegetables and home-cooked meals prepared by volunteers, while children enjoyed interactive games that fostered a lively and welcoming atmosphere.

The program was organized in partnership with Patok-Kenneth Neighborhood Association Inc., a local homeowners association. Ma. Cristina Corpuz, the association’s secretary, praised the initiative for providing meaningful support to families and strengthening community unity. Shincheonji Volunteers – Manila plans to bring the same program to other areas within the barangay to reach more families.

Meanwhile, in Cebu, volunteers conducted a clean-up drive in Lapu-Lapu City, clearing plastic waste and debris from heavily littered areas. Conducted in collaboration with Barangay Gun-ob Waste Management, the activity underscored the importance of responsible waste disposal and showed how volunteer initiatives can transform neglected spaces into cleaner, safer communities.

Through these outreach programs, Shincheonji Volunteers embody the biblical principle from Matthew 5:16, encouraging acts of service that inspire others and bring positive change to communities.

Shincheonji Volunteers, affiliated with the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, engages in humanitarian initiatives including blood donation drives, disaster response, education programs, and environmental clean-ups.
