Students in Meycauayan City received a boost in digital learning support after Globe Telecom donated 25 laptops to Saluysoy Integrated School.

The turnover, held on January 28, 2026, was carried out in partnership with Department of Education – Meycauayan and the local government, supporting the City Schools Division of Meycauayan, which oversees 32 public schools across the city. The additional devices are expected to expand access to technology-assisted lessons and help students build essential digital skills.

The ceremony was attended by Meycauayan Mayor Henry R. Villarica and Councilor Lester Villarica, who both emphasized the importance of partnerships in strengthening education and preparing students for a technology-driven future.

Following the turnover, Globe’s Sustainability and Corporate Communications Manager Jan Merced led a preview session of Globe’s Digital Thumbprint Program, guiding students on online safety, including recognizing scams, protecting personal information, and practicing responsible digital behavior.

Meanwhile, Globe Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer Yoly Crisanto reaffirmed the company’s commitment to bridging the digital divide by combining access to technology with digital literacy and online safety training.

Officials said the initiative highlights how collaboration between the private sector, schools, and local government can create meaningful opportunities that directly benefit students and communities while helping prepare the next generation for a connected future.
