Hann Foundation launches disaster relief ops BayaniHann

Hann Foundation Inc. (HFI), formerly known as Widus Foundation, is extending swift and comprehensive aid to some 2,000 families affected by Typhoon Egay and the prevailing monsoons through its relief operation program, BayaniHann.

As a non-profit organization rooted in the heart of Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, HFI’s BayaniHann has dedicated ₱1.5 million to deliver essential relief supplies to 2,000 identified families whose lives have been affected by the recent calamities.

Distribution was conducted in four locations as follows:
📍on August 23 in Candaba, Pampanga, benefiting the communities of the barangay; 📍on August 24 in Masantol, Pampanga, with solo parents as the beneficiaries
📍on August 26 in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, specifically aiding communities in Barangay Bongtolan and Barangay Cabaroan
📍on September 1 in Sasmuan, Pampanga, reaching out to solo parents, PWD (persons with disabilities), and senior citizens.

The relief packages include a diverse array of essential items, encompassing food, clean water, hygiene kits, and more. Additionally, beneficiaries will have access to temporary shelter and vital medical assistance, all extended through the unwavering commitment of HFI.

This extensive disaster relief operation has been made possible through the immense generosity and collaborative efforts of various organizations and partners. These include the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Alpha Aviation Group, who generously offered their spacious facility as the primary repacking venue and mobilized their employee volunteers for repacking.

Clark Development Corporation (CDC) provided storage facilities for relief supplies and lending their 50-seater bus to transport 500 relief boxes and volunteers to Vigan City. The Philippine Air Force Headquarters Air Defense Command (PAF HADC) also played a vital role by supplying volunteers for the repacking process and offering a truck for transporting volunteers to the Candaba relief operation. Additional support came from volunteers representing the Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP SAF), Philippine Army 522 Engineering Brigade, Swissotel Clark, Hann Casino Resort, as well as their media partners PEP TV 3 and the Pampanga Press Club.

Mr. Ronnel Golimlim, HFI’s Foundation Manager, expressed heartfelt sentiments regarding the relief operation. “The devastation wrought by Typhoon Egay and the monsoons has deeply disheartened us. Our sincere hope is that our contributions and efforts can alleviate the hardship faced by those impacted by this calamity. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners, the local government unit (LGU), and the dedicated volunteers whose support has been instrumental in the success of this disaster relief operation.”

Founded in 2017, HFI has consistently been at the forefront of disaster relief efforts, striving to provide aid and bolster resilience among communities facing adversity.
