Volunteer-powered nonprofit I am MAD (Making A Difference) marked its 15th anniversary with a homecoming in Baguio City, where its journey began. The event, held during the MAD Meet Annual Volunteer Reunion, launched its latest campaign, “I am Powered by Volunteer15m – 15 Years of Heartfelt M15sion.”

This year’s theme highlights the dedication and heart of every volunteer who powers the organization’s mission to uplift Filipino children and communities across the country.

Founders Maco Ravanzo and Christian Marx Rivero led the celebration, which gathered MADmates from around the country for a weekend of thanksgiving, reflection, and recommitment to the cause.

“What started with two people has grown into a movement of almost 1,000 volunteers,” said Ravanzo. “Coming back to where it all started reminds us of our purpose—and what more we can do.”

𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡
Fifteen long-time volunteers were recognized with the ‘Alab ng Puso’ Beacon of Volunteerism Award for their years of service. I am MAD also honored key outreach teams from 2024 and welcomed 63 new volunteers.

This year, the group expanded school-based outreach in Rizal and Palawan, serving two schools in each province for the first time. The Uschong Cultural Ensemble capped the reunion with a special performance celebrating local culture.

The event was organized by MADmates from Rizal and supported by partners including Power Mac Center / The Loop, FH Commercial, The Dağli, OK Custom Gifts, and Creative ADOBO.

𝟏𝟎𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐀𝐃 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭-𝐆𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬
I am MAD’s 100th outreach—held in the upland village of Puguil, Santol, La Union—also doubled as the 2nd Builders Camp, a leadership training for future camp heads. Ten new volunteers were selected from over 100 applicants to undergo hands-on training in outreach planning and facilitation.

Around 40 children from Liguay Elementary School joined the three-day camp, which featured storytelling, games, and values formation. Despite the steep roads and remote setting, the team delivered their message of hope and healing.

“Do it because God allows you to do it,” echoed during MAD Talks Padayon, one of the camp’s most heartfelt moments.

Local officials, including La Union Governor Rafy Ortega-David, expressed support for I am MAD’s work and pledged assistance in reaching remote communities.

As part of the Volunteer15m campaign, I am MAD is calling on more Filipinos to get involved. Registration is now open for MAD Camps in Marinduque, Masbate, Surigao del Sur, Capiz, Zambales, Camarines Sur, Davao del Sur, and Davao Occidental.
