LAZATIN ADMIN COMPLETES P4.8B IN INFRA PROJECTS

Over the past six years, the administration of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has overseen the completion of infrastructure projects worth P4.8 billion in Angeles City.

The breakdown of funding is as follows: P1.3 billion in 2019, P99 million in 2020, P864 million in 2021, P163 million in 2022, P1.1 billion in 2023, and P1.3 billion in 2024.

Notable projects include the rehabilitation of the Pampang Public Market, construction of the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center Annex (Phases 1 and 2), the establishment of a Material Recovery Facility, the Kanlungan ng Kabataan center, a wastewater treatment facility, the Bale Pusu Home for Abandoned Elderly, and upgrades to rural health units.

The Lazatin administration has also worked on several other important infrastructure projects, such as the construction of additional niches and rehabilitation of the Angeles City Public Cemetery, the improvement of the city pound and animal shelter, and enhancements to the City College of Angeles, including an additional floor. Additionally, classrooms and facilities at various public schools were upgraded, and alternate evacuation centers were improved along with slope protection along the Abacan River. Drainage systems on various roads were also developed, and several day care centers were renovated.

During his 2022 re-election campaign, Lazatin included the rehabilitation of the Pampang Public Market, construction of a steel parking area, establishment of the Kanlungan ng Kabataan, and the modernization of health centers as key priorities—projects that have since been completed under his leadership.

Currently running unopposed for Pampanga’s First District Representative, Lazatin’s legislative agenda focuses on seven key areas: Health, Economy and Livelihood, Vulnerable and Marginalized Sectors (Children, Youth, Women, Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities, Solo Parents, and the LGBTQ community), Environment, Education, Transportation, and Barangays.

Lazatin’s guiding principle, “ALANG MALALAKWAN,” emphasizes delivering public services to all sectors of society.

“No one will be left behind in my administration,” Lazatin affirmed. “This is my promise—every sector of our society will feel the sincerity of our service.”
