Through its business units β NLEX, MPT South, CCLEC, and MPT Mobility β MPTC has launched impactful educational programs tailored to teach children the importance of road safety:
π NLEX Corporation introduced “Ang Bida ng Kalsada,” a vibrant picture book that shares engaging stories about responsible road use. Distributed to 2,000 Grades 3-6 students in 20 public schools, this initiative sparks conversations on safety and responsibility.
π MPT South rolled out an updated version of “Bayani ng Kalsada” (Bayani Ka) to help children understand road signs and safe practices. Over 1,000 students have benefited, with 420 copies donated to libraries, schools, and institutions.

On November 20 , MPTC illuminated key structures in blue to mark World Childrenβs Day and reaffirm its dedication to safer roads. Iconic locations like NLEX Balintawak Headquarters , NLEX Drive and Dine , MPT Southβs LEED Gold-Certified South Hub , and the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway stood as glowing symbols of hope and commitment. Complementing these efforts, digital billboards across MPTCβs expressway network featured messages promoting child safety, amplified through online platforms.

In 2024, MPTC deepened its advocacy by embedding Child Rights and Business Principles (CRBP) into its operations. Collaborating with the Ateneo Human Rights Center (AHRC) , MPTC hosted a four-day workshop with representatives from PLDT and Smart Communications. Looking ahead, the company is set to conduct a Child Rights Impact Assessment (CRIA) in 2025, strengthening its role as a leader in corporate responsibility.
