MUNAG SUMALA at SM CITY CLARK

Kapampangan arts and culture take center stage at MUNAG SUMALA, a visual art exhibit that opened Monday, July 17, at The Event Centre of SM City Clark.

Angeles City Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, SM Clark Mall Manager Jerwin Jalandoni, SM Clark Public Relations Manager Venus Manalang, Angeles City Tourism Officer Anneleen Antonio-Sugui, Gamat Kapampangan Vice President Dr. Vittorio Pantig, and Gamat Kapampangan Vice President Arch. Edwin Catli led the opening ceremonies.

Munag Sumala, which translates to ‘daybreak’ or the sign of first light coming from the rising of the sun, moon or star, focuses the spotlight on the works of Kapampangan artists Ailyn A. Gonzales, Alvin Dungca, Armando M. Ramos, Arned David Garcia, Aurelio Q. De Guzman, Chelssie Aven Pan, Christophe Alyon Pan, Dr. Persie De Guzman, Derek Maniego, Genesis Reambillo, Heidy Macabenta, Herminigildo C. Pineda, Jascha Tolentino, Jennel Bodino, Jeffrey Querido Gabatin, Jessica Julia Jose-Cariño, Jing Sararana, Jojo La Madrid, Lani Joy Mercado, Lloyd Dacayanan, Mark Lingat, Marinel Tungol, Marylou Lilibeth Millan Dumas, May Ann Reyes, Niela Feliciano, Nico G. Tulabut, Rolly Suba, Ronald Buenacifra Jr., Salvador Mugatar, William Dorado and Yet Orquia.

As a staunch advocate of culture and the arts, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin, Jr. has fostered partnerships with malls within the city where Angeleño artists may hold regular exhibits and promote their talents.
