The Mabalacat City Government received multiple accolades at the Gitnang Luzon Gawad Parangal sa Nutrisyon 2024, highlighting its strong commitment to nutrition and community health. Led by City Nutrition Officer Dyan Jasmine Manguerra, Mabalacat City was honored with the prestigious Nutrition Honor Award (Maintenance Category), along with recognition for being the Most Visible in Social Media and having a Supportive Community Nutrition Council (CNC).

The event celebrated local government units and individuals who have made significant strides in improving nutrition standards across Central Luzon. Among the city’s standout awardees was Ms. Luchelle Lacson, a Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) from Brgy. Bundagul, who was named a finalist for the Regional Outstanding BNS. Barangay Bundagul’s Nutrition Council, led by Hon. Manny Tolentino, was also recognized for its dedication to supporting local nutrition efforts.

Mayor Crisostomo Garbo expressed his pride in the city’s accomplishments, stating, “These awards reflect our commitment to enhancing the health and nutrition of our citizens. We will continue to push forward with these important programs.”
