Mayor Gerald Guttrie “Geld” Aquino is set to widen the scope of financial assistance for solo parents in Mabalacat City, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive social welfare.
Through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) led by Josephine Tanglao, the local government recently distributed ₱3,000 in subsidies to 200 solo parents during a payout held Thursday at Jade Hall in Xevera, Tabun.

Tanglao said Mabalacat is the first city in Central Luzon to roll out financial support specifically for solo parents.
Currently, the city has over 1,300 registered solo parents. Among them is Editha Tuazon Cabalera, president of the Mabalacat City Federation of Solo Parents and a resident of Barangay Sta. Maria, who thanked the city officials for fulfilling their campaign promises.
The city government urges all qualified solo parents who are not yet registered to coordinate with the CSWDO to be part of future distributions and benefit from programs under the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act.
