The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has partnered with the municipal government of Capas for the development of a one-hectare mega health center in New Clark City, aiming to expand medical access for communities in Tarlac and surrounding areas.

BCDA President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang met with Capas Mayor Atty. Roseller “Boots” Rodriguez to discuss the project, which will be built on a BCDA-donated parcel of land. The facility will be funded by the Department of Health (DOH) and constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), with the Capas LGU managing its operations upon completion.

“This project strengthens our shared goal of making essential services more accessible to Filipinos,” said Engr. Bingcang. “It is a true example of public sector synergy.”

The upcoming health center will complement existing services in New Clark City, including the UP-PGH Sports Medicine and Wellness Center, and is expected to serve both urban and rural populations in Central Luzon.

The project aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 11, promoting health and sustainable urban development.
