Mabalacat opens PAGANACA Art Exhibit for National Arts Month

Mayor Geld Aquino and Vice Mayor Jun Castro led the opening of the PAGANACA Art Exhibit at the Tabnuan Cultural Hall on February 20, in celebration of National Arts Month and the Balacat Festival.

The exhibit showcases around 40 artworks created by 15 local artists from Mabalacat City, highlighting the creativity and talent of homegrown visual artists.

Organized through the collaboration of veteran and young artists from Sining Mabalacat, Sibul ning Kalalangan, and the Mabalacat Arts Collective, the program aims to strengthen arts and culture in the city while providing a platform for local creatives to share their work with the community.

City officials emphasized their continued commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the arts as an essential part of Mabalacat’s identity and history.

Mayor Aquino said that as Mabalacat City continues to progress, equal importance must be given to nurturing and promoting its cultural heritage through sustained support for local artists.

The Aquino administration is also planning to establish an Arts and Culture Council in partnership with the Sangguniang Panlungsod, led by Vice Mayor Castro, to ensure long-term institutional support for the city’s creative sector.
