The Local Government of Mabalacat City, led by Mayor Geld Aquino, has launched its first-ever “Barangay Mission”, a program designed to bring essential government services directly to Mabalaqueños.
The initiative reflects Mayor Aquino’s advocacy to make public services more accessible, efficient, and community-centered, ensuring that residents can easily avail of programs without the need to travel far or spend on transportation.

The first leg of the Barangay Mission kicked off on Saturday at Barangay Sapang Biabas, where hundreds of residents gathered at the Mawaque Covered Court to benefit from the services offered.
Residents availed of free medical check-ups, medicines, and eyeglasses, along with vaccinations, HIV testing, and blood sugar monitoring. The city also conducted supplemental feeding for children aged 6–7 and 12–13, free deworming, and anti-rabies vaccination for pets.
Participants were also given the opportunity to process civil registration documents such as birth certificates at no cost. A local job recruitment drive was organized to connect job seekers with employment opportunities, while volunteer barbers and hairdressers provided free haircuts to residents.
Mayor Aquino shared that the program will be rolled out regularly in other barangays across Mabalacat City to ensure that every Mabalaqueño benefits from the administration’s services.
“Layunin natin na huwag na silang maglaan ng mahabang oras at gumastos ng pamasahe para lamang makapag-avail ng mga basic services na ito,” said Mayor Aquino. “Sa Mabalacat, ang serbisyo ay dapat lumapit sa tao — hindi ang tao ang lumapit sa serbisyo.”
