Mayor Pogi opens new Primary Care Facility in Barangay Pulungbulu

On April 8, 2025, Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. inaugurated a new primary care facility in Barangay Pulungbulu as part of his continuing effort to improve healthcare access for all residents of Angeles City.

The facility includes a dental clinic, consultation and laboratory rooms, a physician’s office, pantry, storage area, and a pharmacy stocked with essential medicines for immediate use.

“This primary care facility is another step in ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to every Angeleño, right in their own barangays. We are committed to making sure that no one is left without access to the healthcare they need,” Mayor Lazatin stated during the opening ceremony.

Among those present were Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, members of the City Council, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, and other local officials.

To further enhance healthcare services, the city has allocated ₱55 million for the construction of nine more primary care units. So far, similar facilities have already been established in Pulung Maragul, Malabanias, Tabun, and Cutud, with upcoming units in Anunas, Capaya, Amsic, and Balibago scheduled for completion later this year. With these additions, the city will have 15 operational healthcare units to serve its growing population of over 450,000.

Since taking office in 2019, Mayor Lazatin has successfully expanded the number of health centers from six to the projected 15, as well as strengthened the medical workforce to ensure the delivery of timely and quality healthcare services.
