With the 1,500 laptops distributed today, the 2,195 total, which corresponds to the number of teachers reporting under the City Schools Division of San Fernando, has been completed.
According to Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Leonardo Zapanta, of all the divisions he has handled in Central Luzon, it is only in San Fernando, under the helm of Caluag, where 100% of the public school teachers were handed with their own brand-new laptops.
Mayor Caluag, who cited education as top priority in her administration, said that the goal of providing each teacher a laptop is a major milestone in her leadership.
Following the completion of the distribution of laptops, Caluag said they are targeting to install wireless networking technology of Wi-Fi access in all public schools.
Also present during the distribution were City Councilors Brenz Gonzales, Reggie David, Ayzel Mari-Grace Macalino, City Local Government Operations Officer Mark Jason Veran, City General Services Officer Engr. Michael Quizon, Jr., and City Information and Communications Technology Officer Atty. James Francis Villanueva.
