McDonaldโs Philippines welcomes the Lunar New Year with a festive collectible release inspired by the Chinese zodiac, offering fans a fun and culture-inspired way to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse.
For a limited time, customers can collect 12 Chinese zodiac-themed figures featuring beloved McDonaldโs characters. Each collectible comes in a cute, detachable zodiac animal shell and is available together with the new Golden McFloat.
According to McDonaldโs Philippines Chief Marketing Officer Ada Almendras-Lazaro, the campaign aims to blend celebration, culture, and fun.
โThis Chinese New Year, we wanted to offer a special experience that pays homage to culture and festive celebrations through our very own Zodiac collectibles and the NEW Golden McFloat. Itโs all about food, fun, and fortune this season, and we encourage everyone to join and enjoy this experience in our stores,โ she said.
The collectible set reimagines popular McDonaldโs characters such as Grimace, Hamburglar, and Birdie as animals from the Chinese zodiac. Each figure includes a detachable zodiac shell with a colored gem that can be swapped across the collection.
Completing the set are 13 interchangeable zodiac animal shells, including a special golden horse shell to highlight the Year of the Fire Horse. Fans can mix and match characters and shells to create personalized combinations.
Limited-Time Lucky Combo
Customers can enjoy the Lunar New Year offer through a Lucky Combo promo. By adding โฑ168 to any McDonaldโs meal, customers can get one Zodiac collectible and upgrade their drink to the new Golden McFloat.
The Golden McFloat is a Sprite-based beverage infused with fruity peach and pear flavors, topped with McDonaldโs signature vanilla soft serve, making it a refreshing and festive seasonal treat.
