Power consumers can expect lower charges in their January 2026 electric bills as transmission rates decline.
For the December 2025 billing period, the overall average transmission rate decreased by 0.68%, settling at Php1.3455 per kWh, down from Php1.3547 per kWh.
The Ancillary Services (AS) rate stands at Php0.5971/kWh, covering the cost of services sourced from the AS Reserve Market and providers under bilateral contracts with NGCP. Meanwhile, the transmission wheeling rate—the fee for delivering electricity through NGCP’s grid—is Php0.6058/kWh.
“For the January 2026 electric bill of end consumers, NGCP charges only 60 centavos per kWh for the delivery of its services,” NGCP said, noting that its revenues are revenue-capped and regulated by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).
These transmission charges for December are billed to end-users through distribution utilities and electric cooperatives.
