Power consumers can expect lower charges in their January 2026 electric bills as transmission rates decline.

For the December 2025 billing period, the overall average transmission rate decreased by 0.68%, settling at Php1.3455 per kWh, down from Php1.3547 per kWh.

The Ancillary Services (AS) rate stands at Php0.5971/kWh, covering the cost of services sourced from the AS Reserve Market and providers under bilateral contracts with NGCP. Meanwhile, the transmission wheeling rateโ€”the fee for delivering electricity through NGCPโ€™s gridโ€”is Php0.6058/kWh.

โ€œFor the January 2026 electric bill of end consumers, NGCP charges only 60 centavos per kWh for the delivery of its services,โ€ NGCP said, noting that its revenues are revenue-capped and regulated by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

These transmission charges for December are billed to end-users through distribution utilities and electric cooperatives.
