PAF engineers undergo capability enhancement training at Clark

The Philippine Air Force (PAF), through the Office of the Air Force Chief of Engineers (OAFCE), conducted the Philippine Air Force Engineers Capability Enhancement Training (PAFECET) 2026 from February 26 to 27 at the Officers’ Club, Clark Air Base in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.

Led by Colonel Dante S. Aquino PAF (GSC), Chief of the Air Force Chief of Engineers, the two-day training aimed to strengthen the technical and operational competencies of PAF engineers in sustaining air base facilities and infrastructure.

Participants included Civil Engineer Staff Officers from various Air Base Groups, Directors for Logistics from Tactical Operations Wings, and selected personnel from OAFCE, the 355th Aviation Engineer Wing, and other PAF units. Subject matter experts from partner government institutions delivered lectures and facilitated discussions on engineering project management, infrastructure planning, facility development, and regulatory compliance.

The activity opened with remarks from the Assistant Air Force Chief of Engineers, who formally introduced Colonel Aquino to commence the training.

On the second day, the Assistant Air Force Chief of Engineers underscored the importance of professional excellence and continuous capability development. He also introduced Colonel Reynaldo D. Gabiñete PAF (GSC), Deputy Wing Commander of the 355th Aviation Engineer Wing, who delivered the closing message on behalf of Brigadier General Jonathan M. Aquino PAF, Wing Commander of the 355th Aviation Engineer Wing.

The training concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to uphold standards in engineering practice and infrastructure development in support of the PAF’s mission requirements.
