Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bataan Provincial Office arrested three individuals and confiscated more than P82,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sibacan on Wednesday afternoon, February 25.

The operation, conducted at around 1:57 p.m., led to the arrest of the following suspects identified by their aliases: “Marlon,” 34; “Ian,” 44; and “Yeng,” 44.

Authorities recovered four transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 12.14 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P82,500. Also seized were assorted drug paraphernalia, one cellular phone, and the marked money used by the poseur-buyer.

The buy-bust was carried out in coordination with the PDEA Seaport Interdiction Unit (SIU), the Bataan Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), and the Balanga City Police Station.

The suspects and the confiscated evidence are now under the custody of PDEA Regional Office 3 in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing in court.
