PLDT has unveiled StreamTV+, a premium streaming device designed to deliver a cinematic home entertainment experience for Filipino households.
Launched under PLDT Home Life, the new device was developed in collaboration with global technology companies Sagemcom, Bang & Olufsen, and Dolby Laboratories. The partnership combines advanced hardware, immersive audio technology, and smart features in a single compact streaming device.
StreamTV+ offers 4K visuals enhanced by Dolby Vision, immersive sound powered by Dolby Atmos, and audio tuned by Bang & Olufsen. It also features voice control capabilities through Google Assistant, allowing users to control their TV and compatible smart home devices through voice commands.
The device aims to transform any living room into a “cinema in a box,” integrating crisp visuals, high-quality audio, and smart connectivity in one unit.
According to John Y. Palanca, senior vice president and consumer business head of PLDT, the product reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing the digital lifestyle of Filipino families.
“At PLDT Home, we are committed to delivering best-in-class connectivity and digital solutions that push the smart home experience forward,” Palanca said. “By collaborating with global technology leaders, we are bringing cutting-edge innovation directly into Filipino homes.”
The core hardware of StreamTV+ was designed by Sagemcom, a global provider of communication solutions. The device supports Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, ensuring stable and high-quality streaming across major platforms such as Netflix, HBO Max, and Cignal TV.
Duncan McCue, vice president for business development and strategic partnerships at Bang & Olufsen, said the collaboration allows more homes to experience the company’s signature sound technology.
Meanwhile, Olivier Taravel, senior executive vice president of the audio video solutions business unit at Sagemcom, said the all-in-one streaming device is expected to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
StreamTV+ builds on the success of the original StreamTV device introduced by PLDT Home in 2024, which combined an Android TV device, AI-powered smart speaker, and virtual assistant in one unit.
The new device is available to PLDT Home Fiber subscribers for a one-time payment of ₱10,990 or through an installment plan of ₱399 per month for 36 months.
