PAMPANGA FIRST DISTRICT – Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has been officially proclaimed as the Representative-Elect of Pampanga’s First District following an unprecedented landslide victory in the 2025 National and Local Elections.

Lazatin made history by securing 262,517 votes, the highest ever recorded for a congressional candidate in the district. Running unopposed, he achieved overwhelming support across all three localities under the First District.

In Angeles City, his hometown, Lazatin received 122,431 votes, surpassing his previous record of 112,000 during the 2022 mayoral race — the highest vote count for any city mayor in Angeles history. He also tallied 88,707 votes in Mabalacat City and 51,379 votes in Magalang.

  • Environment
  • Education
  • Transportation
  • Barangays

He was joined at the proclamation by his daughters, Atty. Kercee Lazatin and Keece Lazatin, who stood by him as he marked the start of a new chapter in public service.
