In just 23 days at the helm of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), Regional Director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. has led intensified operations across Central Luzon, delivering significant breakthroughs in the fight against illegal drugs, loose firearms, and wanted persons.
From the start of his leadership, PRO3 launched 432 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 675 drug personalities and the seizure of over ₱27.2 million worth of illegal drugs—comprising ₱23.8 million in shabu and ₱3.4 million in marijuana.

In a single-day operation alone, PRO3 conducted 15 drug busts that led to the arrest of 30 suspects and the confiscation of 697.94 grams of shabu and 3 grams of marijuana, with a total value of ₱4.7 million.
“These accomplishments are a clear result of our focused and relentless operations. We will not give criminals room to breathe in Central Luzon. This is just the beginning,” PBGEN Peñones stated.
Efforts to curb illegal firearms have also intensified. PRO3 recovered 69 assorted short firearms, with 34 seized in operations, 27 voluntarily surrendered, and 8 deposited for safekeeping. A total of 33 individuals were arrested for firearm-related offenses.
In its manhunt operations, PRO3 also arrested 580 wanted individuals, which include:
- 459 with outstanding warrants of arrest (OWPs)
- 48 most wanted persons (MWPs)
- 73 top ten most wanted persons (TTMWPs): 9 regional, 35 provincial, and 29 municipal level targets
PBGEN Peñones underscored that these results represent more than statistics.
“These figures are not just numbers—they represent lives saved, communities secured, and a clear message to those who attempt to sow fear and disorder: your time is up,” he said.
As PRO3 sustains its operational momentum, RD Peñones assures the public of a leadership style that is proactive, disciplined, and community-focused—with a firm commitment to public safety and justice.
