Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) secured its first gold medal at the Regional Culture and the Arts Festival (RCAF) III 2025 after student Yohan Yu emerged as champion in the Solo Piano Competition held on November 23 at the Rafael Lazatin Audio Visual Center.

Yu, who performed Antonio Molina’s Malikmata, delivered a standout rendition that earned him the top spot in his first-ever piano competition. He shared that he did not expect to win, noting that this was his debut entry in the piano category despite joining RCAF for three consecutive years.

Bulacan State University’s Leandro Balcon Jr. placed second, while President Ramon Magsaysay State University’s Psalm Samuel Jabez Trinidad finished third. Fourth place went to Ian Kenneth Alabado of Bataan Peninsula State University, and Tarlac State University’s Marlyn Francesca Nicolas secured fifth place.
