The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has disbursed approximately P1.05 billion in benefit claims to 11 district hospitals in Pampanga.
This payment covers healthcare services provided to PhilHealth members and their dependents from January to December 2024. The funds will help support medical and non-medical personnel in delivering quality care to patients.
Vice Governor Lilia Pineda expressed her gratitude to PhilHealth for reaching the P1 billion target for health services provided by district hospitals.

“Our hospitals adhered to the zero-billing policy, ensuring that PhilHealth members who were admitted received necessary healthcare services without additional costs,” Pineda noted.
Pineda also commended PhilHealth for the 95 percent increase in benefits this year, which will sustain the No Balance Billing policy in government hospitals and reduce out-of-pocket expenses in private hospitals.
The hospitals that received the payments include the Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial Hospital in Guagua, Domingo B. Flores District Hospital in Macabebe, Dr. Andres J. Luciano District Hospital in Magalang, Dr. Emigdio C. Cruz Sr. Memorial Hospital in Arayat, Escolastica Romero District Hospital in Lubao, Jose Songco Lapid District Hospital in Porac, Mabalacat District Hospital, Ricardo P. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and its Annex Specialty Hospital in San Fernando, Romana Pangan District Hospital in Floridablanca, and San Luis District Hospital.
In a statement, PhilHealth affirmed its commitment to the continued expansion and enhancement of benefits for all Filipinos. It also encouraged patients who are not yet registered with PhilHealth to update their records at the hospital where they are currently admitted to immediately avail of their benefits.
