Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Qatar Airways have entered into a strategic partnership to enhance air connectivity between the Philippines and Qatar, with new daily nonstop flights between Manila and Doha set to launch on June 16, 2025.
Under the agreement, PAL will operate daily direct flights on the Manila-Doha route, with Qatar Airways placing its code on these flights as part of the initial phase of their codeshare cooperation. This partnership aims to boost travel options and streamline connections for passengers flying between Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.
The outbound flight, PR684, will depart Manila at 6:50 PM and arrive in Doha at 11:40 PM, allowing seamless access to over 170 global destinations in Qatar Airways’ extensive network via Hamad International Airport, recently named the Middle East’s Best Airport by Skytrax.
The return flight, PR685, departs Doha at 1:30 AM, reaching Manila at 4:15 PM—a schedule designed to offer smooth connectivity for travelers arriving on Qatar Airways’ inbound services.

Ng, President and COO of Philippine Airlines. “Our daily Doha service not only supports business and leisure travel but also brings immense value to our Filipino overseas workers and their families.”
Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori added: “This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthen connectivity and cooperation across global markets. Through our codeshare with Philippine Airlines, we’re creating more opportunities for travelers and reinforcing the strong ties between Qatar and the Philippines.”
The collaboration also sets the stage for broader cooperation, including joint promotions, expanded network access, and potential frequent flyer program alignment.
Flights will be operated by PAL’s Airbus A330-300, featuring 18 full-flat Business Class seats and 341 Economy Class seats, offering both comfort and capacity on the long-haul route.
