Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Alaska Airlines (AS) have announced a new frequent flyer partnership that will give travelers more ways to earn and redeem miles across a wider network of routes between the Philippines and the United States.

Set to launch in the coming months, the collaboration will enable PAL Mabuhay Miles and Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members to earn and use miles on eligible flights across both carriers, increasing flexibility and value for frequent flyers.

Andrew Harrison, Chief Commercial Officer at Alaska Airlines, echoed the enthusiasm, adding, “Philippine Airlines is a terrific addition to our roster of global airline partners. This will especially benefit the large Filipino communities in Hawaii, California, and Washington state who fly on PAL’s long-haul services.”

The partnership strengthens connections via PAL’s U.S. West Coast gateways—Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Honolulu—with seamless access to Alaska’s extensive domestic network. This means passengers from the Philippines can now more easily reach major and secondary cities across the U.S., using their miles for added value.

The two carriers are also exploring reciprocal codeshare agreements that would further expand destination options across both airlines’ networks.

In addition, the new frequent flyer tie-up will complement PAL’s existing relationship with Hawaiian Airlines, also part of the Alaska Airlines Group. Hawaiian Airlines passengers will soon be able to earn and redeem miles on PAL flights using their Mileage Plan account, further enriching inter-island and transpacific connectivity.

As the Philippines’ only full-service legacy carrier, PAL continues to strengthen its position in the U.S. market by forming strategic partnerships that support seamless, value-driven travel. PAL currently operates the largest network of nonstop flights between the Philippines and the United States, with direct services to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Honolulu.
