The Municipality of Porac celebrated the 45th National Disability Prevention & Rehabilitation Week with the theme “Aksesibilidad at Karapatan ng mga Taong may Kapansanan, Daan tungo sa Sustenableng Kinabukasan na Walang Maiiwan” at the Covered Court, Command Center, Porac, Pampanga.
Each beneficiary received 5 kilos of rice and 1,000 pesos each. Everyone was invited to participate in the games, and had the chance to win prizes.
Executive Assistant IV Jen Capil attended the event on behalf of Mayor Jing Capil. Also present were Vice Mayor Francis Budoy Tamayo, Dr. Edgar Cornelio Lacanlale from the Municipal Health Office and Ms. Jhoanne Argeca from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.
The event is an important vehicle to promote the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in the municipality, with the aim of amplifying the voices of people with disabilities, fighting barriers, and building a freer and more equal world for all Poraqueños.
