In line with its mission of lighting the future with renewables, renewable energy pioneer RASLAG Corp. has begun the testing and commissioning of its fourth solar plant to the 69kV line of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) on Wednesday.
Located in San Pablo, Magalang, Pampanga, this is the company’s largest operating plant to-date with a 36.646 MWp capacity. The company expects RASLAG-4 to to produce 53 GWh of electricity, generating enough electricity to power 24,000 homes annually and PHP 285M in revenues in its first full year of operations.
“We are thrilled to have already completed four organic projects to help meet our nation’s growing energy demand,” said RASLAG CEO and President Mr. Robert Nepomuceno. “The RASLAG-4 project marks another step towards putting power back into the hands of Filipinos,” he emphasized.
The completion of RASLAG-4 brings RASLAG’s total installed capacity to 77.844 MW in just two years of being a publicly listed company. The company hopes to significantly increase its portfolio of renewable energy capacity to at least 1000 MW by 2035, with three more projects already underway. RASLAG will also begin expanding beyond their home province of Pampanga with their next solar plant expected to be put up in Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija by 2026.
RASLAG has established a reputation for delivering efficient, large-scale solar projects on time and within budget. The new facility incorporates the 670-watt mono crystalline solar module, maximizing energy output and ensuring long-term reliability.
In addition to providing clean energy, RASLAG-4 has created local jobs and contributed to the economic development of the surrounding area. During construction, the project employed more than 150 workers, and the facility will continue to generate opportunities for local contractors, technicians, and service providers.
