Fans of Middle-earth are in for a rare cinematic treat as SM Cinema brings back “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” Extended Edition to the big screen for a one-weekend-only engagement in celebration of the film’s 25th anniversary.
From January 23 to 25, moviegoers can relive—or discover for the first time—the epic that launched Peter Jackson’s legendary trilogy. The extended edition features more than 30 minutes of additional footage not seen in the original 2001 theatrical release, stretching the runtime to an immersive 3 hours and 28 minutes.
The special screening will be shown in 40 SM Cinema branches nationwide, allowing fans across the country to join the Fellowship’s journey.
