SM Development Corporation (SMDC) continues to build not just homes, but empowered communities—this time, by supporting early education through its “Balik-Eskwela with the Good Guys” initiative.
Held at Cutcut Elementary School, the outreach brought joy and school essentials to Kindergarten and Grade 1 pupils, who received school bags filled with basic learning supplies. SMDC’s beloved mascot Suzy also joined in the fun, engaging young learners with games and smiles.

The activity is part of SMDC’s “Live Good, Do Good” sustainability program under its Empowering Communities pillar. Leading the effort were Grace Evangeline M. Sta. Ana, SMDC EVP and Head of Core Operations, along with volunteer employees known as The Good Guys, who represent the heart of the company’s community engagement movement.

“At SMDC, a good home means more than shelter—it’s about shaping futures,” Sta. Ana said. “Through Balik-Eskwela with the Good Guys, we hope to inspire confidence and curiosity in our youngest learners.”
Organized in partnership with Barangay Cutcut and the Department of Education, the initiative highlights SMDC’s ongoing commitment to inclusive growth and education for all.
