The Municipality of Santa Rita, Pampanga has been awarded the Balangay Seal of Excellence by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office III for its outstanding implementation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP).

The award was conferred by PDEA Regional Director Jigger B. Montallana and formally received by Mayor Reynan S. Calo and Sta. Rita Chief of Police PMAJ Jose Bandong III during the regular Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at the Municipal Hall.

Also present at the ceremony were PDEA Pampanga Provincial Officer IA V Mark Anthony M. Viray and Regional Team Leader Christian De Honor of PDEA Regional Office III.

The Balangay Seal of Excellence is the highest recognition granted to local government units that demonstrate strong compliance and effective enforcement of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program in support of the national anti-illegal drugs campaign.

Municipal officials said the recognition underscores Santa Rita’s continued commitment to good governance, public safety, and its collective efforts to maintain a safer and drug-free community.
