Senator Imee Marcos, with Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin, Jr. and Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo ‘Jon’ B. Lazatin II, led the inauguration of the ₱400-million, 3-storey New Pampang Public Market.
According to Mayor Lazatin, “This new Pampang Public Market is a symbol of our commitment to uplifting local vendors. It’s more than just a building—it’s a vital step toward reviving commerce and strengthening livelihoods.”
The key features of the modernized Pampang Market include:
- 200 dry goods stalls for vendors displaced by the 2020 fire
- A spacious food court on the ground floor.
- Steel parking facilities on the second and third floors, offering 251 slots and an elevator for convenience.
- A side wing with 50 stalls for carinderias, enriching the market’s role as a culinary and commercial hub.
Senator Marcos’ presence at the inauguration highlights her ongoing partnership with the city in delivering improved facilities and fostering community progress.
Mayor Lazatin also acknowledges Senator Marcos’ significant contributions to the city, including her role in securing ₱20 million for the repair of the old Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC) building.
