Senator Imee Marcos, with Angeles City Mayor Carmelo โ€˜Pogiโ€™ Lazatin, Jr. and Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo โ€˜Jonโ€™ B. Lazatin II, led the inauguration of the โ‚ฑ400-million, 3-storey New Pampang Public Market.

According to Mayor Lazatin, โ€œThis new Pampang Public Market is a symbol of our commitment to uplifting local vendors. Itโ€™s more than just a buildingโ€”itโ€™s a vital step toward reviving commerce and strengthening livelihoods.โ€

The key features of the modernized Pampang Market include:

  • 200 dry goods stalls for vendors displaced by the 2020 fire
  • A spacious food court on the ground floor.
  • Steel parking facilities on the second and third floors, offering 251 slots and an elevator for convenience.
  • A side wing with 50 stalls for carinderias, enriching the marketโ€™s role as a culinary and commercial hub.

Senator Marcosโ€™ presence at the inauguration highlights her ongoing partnership with the city in delivering improved facilities and fostering community progress.

Mayor Lazatin also acknowledges Senator Marcosโ€™ significant contributions to the city, including her role in securing โ‚ฑ20 million for the repair of the old Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC) building.
