During the Senate hearing on the proposed 2026 national budget, Senate Finance Committee Chair Senator Win Gatchalian commended the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) for its exemplary management and impressive financial growth.

Citing the agencyโ€™s performance, Gatchalian noted BCDAโ€™s โ‚ฑ3 billion net income in 2023, which surged to โ‚ฑ16 billion in 2024. He also highlighted the agencyโ€™s โ‚ฑ4.2 billion remittance to the national government in 2023, increasing to โ‚ฑ5.8 billion in 2024, with dividends amounting to โ‚ฑ500 million and โ‚ฑ1.5 billion, respectively.

โ€œMaganda ang patakbo ng BCDA. Self-sustaining naman kayo and that is the design of BCDA,โ€ Gatchalian said, emphasizing that the agencyโ€™s performance exemplifies effective governance and fiscal responsibility.

The senator lauded BCDAโ€™s continued efforts in generating billions in revenues and remittances that directly benefit the Filipino people.
