The Angeles City government, led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., is set to unveil the newly rebuilt three-story Pampang Public Market on November 29, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., with Senator Imee Marcos as the guest of honor.
The modernized market, a โฑ400 million redevelopment project, features 200 dry goods stalls for vendors displaced by a fire in 2020. It includes a ground-floor dry goods section, a spacious food court, and steel parking facilities spanning the second and third floors, with 251 parking slots and a dedicated elevator.

A side wing with 50 additional stalls will host mini-eateries, or carinderias, further establishing the market as a commercial hub.
โThis new Pampang Public Market is a symbol of our commitment to uplifting local vendors. Itโs more than just a buildingโitโs a vital step toward reviving commerce and strengthening livelihoods,โ said Mayor Lazatin.
The mayor also expressed gratitude to Senator Marcos for her continued support, noting her role in facilitating โฑ20 million in funding for the repair of the old Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC) building.
Senator Marcosโ attendance highlights her partnership with the cityโs progress, aligning with the administration’s goal of providing improved facilities for vendors and creating a modern, accessible marketplace for residents.
