The Tarlac City Government, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD), celebrated the 47th National Disability Rights Week on September 30, 2025, at the Tarlac City Plazuela Hall with the theme “Innovation for Inclusion: Building Inclusive Communities Together.”

The event highlighted ongoing efforts to provide education, livelihood, and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities (PWDs), while underscoring the continuing challenge of ensuring equal recognition and participation in the community.

TCFPWD President Neneth C. Baltazar thanked Mayor Susan Yap for her support in prioritizing PWD programs and projects.

Activities included indoor games, a Miss Inclusion beauty pageant to boost confidence and self-expression, and PWD Got Talent, where participants showcased their skills in singing, dancing, and other performances.

City officials stressed that such initiatives aim to show that PWDs are not hindered by their conditions but are active partners in strengthening inclusive communities.
