Tarlac Meatmasters, the meat-processing arm of Pilmico Farms, has made history as the first multi-meat facility in the Philippines to secure AAA accreditation across three categories: Slaughterhouse, Meat Cutting Plant, and Cold Storage Warehouse.
On August 19, 2025, the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) upgraded Tarlac Meatmasters’ Cold Storage Warehouse from AA to AAA, cementing its distinction as the only establishment in the country with full AAA status. These accreditations—awarded only to facilities that meet stringent international food safety standards and hold HACCP certifications—ensure products are ready for both local and global markets.
The facility first earned its Slaughterhouse AAA license in 2021, followed by the Meat Cutting Plant in 2023. To date, only eight slaughterhouses and 10 meat-cutting plants nationwide hold AAA certification.
“This milestone reflects our team’s commitment to food safety and quality,” said Hendel Cabral, Aboitiz Foods First Vice President for the Meat Division. “As the first of its kind in the country, Tarlac Meatmasters sets a new benchmark for the meat industry, assuring customers that they can trust our products to be world-class and safe.”

Since its establishment in 2020, the Bamban-based facility has expanded its capabilities with advanced pork processing technologies and now holds six HACCP certifications from NMIS. As part of Aboitiz Foods, Tarlac Meatmasters continues to raise industry standards while ensuring reliable, high-quality food for Filipino communities.
