The Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) on Wednesday said tests on poultry from Tarlac province showed samples weren’t infected by the highly pathogenic avian influenza, dispelling fears of consumers and industry players of a bird flu outbreak.
“All samples from Tarlac tested negative for the (bird flu) virus,” said DA Assistant Secretary for Swine and Poultry Dante Palabrica.
“Based on these results, news about the bird flu are untrue,” he added
