The Toll Regulatory Board has approved updated toll rates for the NLEX Connector, starting October 15, 2024.
The new toll fees are part of a staggered plan to ease the impact on expressway users. The first rates were introduced in 2023, four months after the Caloocan to Espaรฑa section opened. When Section 2 from Espaรฑa to Magsaysay Boulevard opened in October 2023, discounted rates remained in place for nearly a year. Full rates will be applied when the NLEX Connector Project is completed.
According to the approved toll rates, Class 1 vehicles (cars and SUVs) will pay โฑ119, Class 2 (buses and small trucks) will pay โฑ299, and Class 3 (large trucks) will be charged โฑ418.
The NLEX Connector has cut travel time between C3 in Caloocan and Magsaysay Boulevard in Manila to just seven minutes, making travel easier for motorists from the north heading to Manila, and vice versa.
This elevated expressway also boosts job and business opportunities by improving access to and from the north. It has been especially helpful for the trucking and logistics industry, offering a 24/7 truck-ban-free route.
The NLEX Connector also benefits students traveling from the north to schools in Metro Manilaโs University Belt, providing a faster commute.
NLEX Connector is the first expressway in the Philippines to use a barrierless system and 100% RFID technology, allowing faster toll transactions.
