More than 100 entrepreneurs from across Central Luzon gathered at Royce Hotel on July 29, 2025, for the TikTok UNLAD LOKAL 2025 Learning Session — a joint effort of the Department of Trade and Industry Region III (DTI-3) and TikTok Shop Philippines to equip micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) for success in the fast-growing world of creative commerce.
The full-day program covered essential skills for thriving on TikTok Shop — from seller onboarding, store setup, affiliate marketing, and live selling to content creation, ads strategy, and ethical selling practices.
DTI-3 Regional Director Edna D. Dizon underscored the power of digitalization, noting that platforms like TikTok offer MSMEs “a cost-efficient way to connect with customers, tell their stories, and grow sustainably.”

TikTok Philippines’ Klaude Mandaya led the sessions, which also included a live selling demo and discussions on DTI’s One Town, One Product (OTOP) program and the Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) Act, highlighting government incentives for micro sellers.
Anchored on MSME growth, job creation, and inclusive economic development, UNLAD LOKAL aligns with DTI Secretary Ma. Cristina A. Roque’s five-point agenda: AI and digitalization, franchising, mentoring, financing, and diversification.
Participants left the session inspired and equipped to take their businesses to the next level — one TikTok at a time.
